Poetic Hues

“Black is not sad. Black is poetic. How do you imagine a poet? In a bright yellow jacket? probably not.” – Ann Demeulemeester

My appreciation for fashion didn’t really kick in until I was in my last two years of high school. My pre-senior years’ situation was my mother either shopping for me or dragging me along to shop – and me obviously hating it!

It’s been six years since high school, however from an early age, I always seem to have had an opinion on what I liked and what I didn’t. Having those opinions have definitely not only helped me start my journey into fashion but also contributed to my eclectic personal style.

With time a lot has changed in terms of my fashion sense. I went to fashion school, graduated from college, and am now a fashion blogger! In the past few years, I have definitely experimented a lot more with styles – trying out new trends, clothing and certain colours that I wouldn’t have ventured into previously. This experimentation phase has pushed me to up my style game and take fashion risks and guess what, I now do love frills and ruffles – at least sometimes!

What I’m wearing

Top – Riotino

Leggings – Mango
